How to join the Workforce Development Model?
You can start by filling out the question below. In 3-5 days, a Better Futures Minnesota representative from our Workforce Development model will contact you with the next steps.
What are the eligibility requirements to join Better Futures Minnesota?
To join Better Futures Minnesota’s workforce development model, you must be at least 18 years old and live in the Twin Cities metro area. Participants are typically recently released from incarceration for a felony offense or are currently on probation or parole within the past 12 months. Individuals with adult sex offense or arson convictions are not eligible.
Successful participants are ready and willing to work every day and committed to personal growth, accountability, and positive change.
What is the location and schedule of the workforce development model?
Yes. During your first weeks, you’ll complete paid training and onboarding. After completing this phase, you’ll begin working in one of our business lines, such as deconstruction, property services, appliance recycling, or janitorial services. Participants rotate through different areas to build skills and gain hands-on experience.
Can anyone join your workforce Development Model?
Not everyone will be eligible. The workforce development model is designed for men who have been recently released from incarceration for a felony offense or are currently on probation or parole within the past year. Individuals with adult sex offense or arson convictions are not eligible to participate.
